#No waiting for a yearling or 2yo to get up and racing - all the hard work and the wait has been done .

We are aiming to race her over late Winter / early spring this year . She had her first jump out recently and she went well and showed she handles a wet track.

STRATUM STAR is off to a good start at stud with talented winners on board already from his first crops.

This mare has inherited her sire and dam's bold and tough temperament . She wants to get the job done . A great moving filly she really covers the ground well.

Average monthly training costs in full work per 2.5% $90 - per 5% $180

Average monthly cost when not in work per 2.5% $25.00 - per 5% $50

No syndicate management fees

Her sire STRATUM STAR was a sound, talented and tough galloper who won at Group 1 level from Coast to Coast amassing $2.45 million in prizemoney. Like Champion stallions Exceed and Excel and Encosta De Lego , STRATUM STAR is the winner of the Rupert Clarke S. [G1] over 1400m.

STRATUM STAR was such a versatile galloper, winning from 1400m up to 2200m. He won and placed at G1 level from 1400 to 1600m, all the while maintaining his high timeform rating of 123.

Stratum Star was held in high regard by his trainer who commented;
“As courageous & sound a horse of wind & limb I’ve trained, he was a horse you would ride into battle with.” Darren Weir.

Her dam is the talented city winning race mare in GOLD HEIST who is by Danzig’s Champion son - Golden Snake.

Gold Heist impressed her trainer displaying raw, untapped talent on debut when running a short head 2nd at Moonee Valley as a 3yo. Needing time to mature she was turned out.

Gold Heist’s connections did not have to wait long in her next preparation for the filly to put away her maiden over 1100m which came with a very tough win at Ballarat on a heavy track which she did not relish. She got the job done on determination and guts, impressing her rider Luke Nolen.

Lining up next at Caulfield, Gold Heist gave her connections a great thrill with her gutsy win over 1400m which sparked plans for stakes races. However, it was found the mare had sustained a bone chip from her win at Caulfield which put an end to those plans.

Gold Heist is from a consistent Victorian female family whose pedigree boasts influences close up from Champion stallions such as Danzig, Habitat and Lunchtime . She hails from a dam line that has produced stakes winners year in year out including Champion 2yo colt and Blue Diamond Hero in Written By, as well as the Australian Guineas winner and high class stallion in PINS and mulitple Group ONE WINNER PIPPIE.

This filly is a very good moving horse with a bold, tough workman-like temperament and will be given every opportunity.
