Our first horse to go to Singapore is a stunning near black 3yo gelding by Denman (currently has the rising star in Hong Kong). He's already shown his ability in a Cambridge trial, and arrived in Singapore in mid September. After the required 14 days in quarantine, he's now in work with one of Singapore's most respected and successful trainers, Stephen Gray.
"Good strong horse, nice action"-trainer Stephen Gray.
"He'll make the grade for sure"-Garry Carvell, Bloodstock Manager.
This is a 20 share syndicate priced at $6,735 each which includes the purchase price and the individual share of airfreight from Auckland to Singapore.
Brochures including the PDS are now available on request and I hope you can come on the journey with us in racing our first horse in Singapore!
Here's The Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Own A Racehorse in Singapore!
1. Limited pool of horses=Limited opposition! There are only around 1200-1300 horses in Singapore!
2.) There's only one track in Singapore-Kranji-which means that as an owner, you won't get expensive transport bills to country and provincial venues!
3.) The vets in Singapore are employed by the Turf Club and costs are passed onto owners at heavily subsidised prices-typically around 10% -20% of what they are in Australia!
4.) Prizemoney is excellent-$85,000 Restricted Maiden races anyone? Winning one of those is a great way to kick off a horse's career in Singapore.
5.) Reward Incentive Scheme: The Singapore Turf Club offers a Reward Incentive Scheme to owners to lower the costs of keeping horses in Singapore. Rebates of $900 (SGD) for qualifying horses are credited to trainers accounts and are used to offset the monthly training bill. The qualifying criteria for the rebates are as follows:
10 or less starters-All except first and the last 3 placed horses (so for example in a 10 horse field, the rebates will be credited to those horses placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th-in addition to normal prizemoney won).
11 or more starters-All except 1st and the last 4 placed horses (so for example in a 14 horse field, the rebates will be credited to those horses placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th,10th & 11th-in addition to normal prizemoney won).
No wonder we're keen to expand our business to Singapore-and you should be too!
